Data Collection Procedures

The ECLS-K:2024 national study data collections will begin in 2023. Participants will be asked to complete instruments and provide essential feedback to help the study provide meaningful information for educators and families. The study will collect information from participating children, their parents/guardians, their teachers, and their school administrators.

Information on planned data collection procedures is available for public review and comment prior to the start of each study round in the requests to conduct the study submitted to the Office of Management and Budget. Final data collection procedures will be described in depth in the study documentation that will be released with the study’s data files.
