Title: Students Report Job Success More Important than Making Money
Description: This NCES survey report describes student views on the importance of three job-related goals-being successful at work, finding steady work, and making a lot of money. It looks at changes, as 1980 sophomores graduate from high school (or drop out) and go on to work or college, over a period of 6 years (1980-1986). Comparisons are made by subcategories such as race/ethnicity and gender. A discussion of the findings is followed by a methodology and technical notes section which includes regression tables, means and adjusted mean tables, item and sampling information, details on regression analyses conducted, and a discussion of the accuracy of estimates.
