NQT Help |
From the Search Results screen, click on any question to view and/or print it. The question detail screen shows information about subject, grade, year, and block number of the question you are viewing. The first tab, Question, shows the question as it appeared in the test booklet (with adjustments to fit the NQT screen), plus a link to the reading passage if there was one. On the left side on each tab, there is also a link to Printable Version.
Five other tabs with more specific information about the question are:
Performance Data opens a graph showing how the average student performed—for instance, the percentages of students who scored Correct, Incorrect, Omitted, and Off Task for the most recent assessment in which the item was used.
Content Classification presents descriptions of the content category and subcategories defined by the assessment framework.
Scoring Guide/Key provides the correct and incorrect responses for the question. This information is particularly helpful in showing how an open-ended question was scored.
Student Responses provide exemplars of actual student responses to constructed-response questions, with the scorer’ commentary if available.
More Data shows more detailed performance data on the question in its last use. Scroll down to see the data broken out by several subgroups such as gender and race/ethnicity. For multiple-choice questions, an asterisk indicates the correct answer as seen in the key in the Scoring Guide/Key tab. A link to View Cross-State Data appears if the subject is one of the four subjects that states traditionally take: mathematics, reading, science, and writing.
